IRAQ RESERVE CLAIM
Further to your letter of 25 November, I am happy to agree to
the claim of up to £2m for the security of CPA Secondees in
Iraq-
2.
The security of UK staff overseas has always been of
paramount importance, particularly so after the recent tragedy
in Istanbul, and as such I am happy to agree to the c. £2m
claim for the construction of secure accommodation. As
before, this money will come from the £60m Central Reserve
funding that the Chancellor announced in the Budget for
reconstruction and development in Irag. My officials will be
interested to see updates on how the project is progressing.
