Policy Priorities of the CPA MHESR Team

Ensuring the autonomy and intellectual freedom of Iraqi universities – including the building of essential administrative capacities.

Supporting the reconstruction of damaged facilities – especially teaching, administrative, and dormitory facilities – and refurbishing of laboratories and training workshops.

Reintegrating Iraqi students, scholars, and scientists into the broader intellectual community by facilitating academic exchanges, seminars, conferences, etc.

Introducing critical technologies and techniques of administration, teaching, and learning.

Backing the review and reform of curriculum in all disciplines.

Promoting access to information vital information for scholarship and learning – ranging from Internet to expanded libraries.

Reintegrating the higher education institutions of Iraqi Kurdistan as full and equal partners with those of the rest of the country.
