For the foreseeable future, Iraqi oil will be the economic engine for Iraq’s economic growth and change, but oil infrastructure is in urgent need of rehabilitation and replacement. The social, political, and commercial challenge to return the Iraqi oil sector to the forefront of global oil – for the benefit of the Iraqi people -- is the new mission of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
