Page 1 of 1 Jones, Richard H. (AMB) From: u.; l (b=)~(6:.L) _ _,~ Sent: To: Cc: Monday, March 15, 2004 11:41 PM SES-0, ,State Harley, Joyce E(S/ES-EX), ,State; Jones, Richard H. (AMB); Smith, Stephen T. (AMB); NEA, FtyAway02, ,State Subject: Please pass to Doug Greene from Steven Koutsis Sir, Attached please find the latest version of the schedule as we envision it. Some major points: We will soon need input on who you wish to join the Secretary in his meetings. I assume U/S/ Larson, AIS Burns and AIS Boucher will attend all meetings. Please let us know who else should attend. We have changed the "visit the troops" to mid-morning at the Palace, as the best time, avoiding a return to the Palace. "The troops" will be military and civilian CPA staff here and perhaps military from the area. We have not planned a military only event. Is that acceptable? We have extended the time in Baghdad to allow for the morning shows, but believe that there is still an opportunity for a stop in Basra. There are no restrictions on night flights; in fact they are preferred. However, it is best to minimize overland movement or even helicopter movement after dark. That said, we hope to fly the party from the airport to CPA South Headquarters and return before complete darkness, then he can spend lime at the airport to meet some of the British and other Coalition troops before departing. The worst case, he may have to stay at the airport (which is also the MND(SE) base) and have his meetings there. But we think his meeting other coalition troops would still be worth the effort. Thank you, l(b)(6) 1~111111111111 00849 3/16/2004 o1-r-cs-r: Management Office Alan P.
