Federal government audit experience is highly desired for the Auditor positions

Federal employees in a covered position, who do not have a break in service, are
eligible to continue their Federal benefits including leave accrual and the retirement
deduction. In addition, the salary earned in this position may be included in their high
three Federal retirement computation.

Federal employees selected for a term appointment made in the Excepted Service may be
granted return rights to their permanent position with the consent of the head of their
agency. The employee is strongly encouraged to coordinate return rights with his/her
supervisory chain prior to accepting a position.
